MainLodge for indoor ski and simulator businesses
Two machines. A full week. Nothing double-booked.
The simulator is the scarce resource and the coach is the second one. Lessons and open practice on the same machines, setup buffers, packs and monthly passes billed to the card, waivers and reminders — built by the people who run Home Mountain Ski Club on it.
Built inside our own studio. Founding-studio places open for ski simulator & indoor ski businesses.
How it actually runs
What a week looks like in ski simulator & indoor ski businesses.
2
machines, each a revenue stream
An idle hour on a simulator is gone for good. The calendar's job is to keep both machines busy without promising one twice.
2
resources per lesson
A lesson needs a coach and a machine, at the same time, for the same client. Open practice needs only the machine.
1
season that sells in advance
Autumn passes fund the winter. Passes, minimum terms and pauses have to be right.
Where the week breaks
The problems that show up at the desk, not in a brochure.
-
Coach booked, machine free — or the other way round.
Tools built for either appointments or resources can't hold both at once. You end up checking two calendars.
-
Setup time isn't on the calendar.
Binding changes and a size swap take ten minutes that a back-to-back schedule doesn't have.
-
Open practice and lessons fight for the same machine.
A member books practice at 5; a lesson was sold for 5. Somebody waits.
-
School groups are a phone call.
Twelve kids, two machines, ninety minutes, three coaches — booked by email and remembered by one person.
What MainLodge does about it
One calendar, one client record, one set of rules — that fit this room.
Real screens from the product. Anything marked “On the roadmap” isn’t shipped yet — it’s shown as the design we’re building to.
Coach and machine held together.
A lesson books the coach and the machine; open practice books only the machine. The calendar refuses the second booking on either.
Machines as columns, lessons and practice side by side.
Buffers that respect the setup.
Each machine has a setup buffer; each service has a duration. A 60-minute lesson takes 70 minutes of the machine.
Machines with their buffers.
A season, sold in advance.
Passes that give members sessions every period, billed to their card, with a pause your staff can grant when it makes sense — exactly how Home Mountain sells its winter.

Groups and clinics with real capacity. On the roadmap
A clinic takes as many people as the machines and coaches allow in the time you set. School bookings are a service with a group price.
Services — lessons, practice, clinics, groups.
Live today
What a studio can use on day one.
Shipped and running at Home Mountain, our own studio in Los Angeles.
- Clients book themselves. They pick a service, a person or 'anyone', a time, and leave their details — from any phone, no account needed.
- Day and week calendar. Every appointment on one calendar, a column per instructor, and a week view for any one person. Drag an appointment to move it.
- Rooms, bays and equipment. Tell MainLodge what a session physically needs — a reformer, a simulator, a room — and it books whichever one is free.
- Set-up time and working hours. Add clean-up or set-up time around a service, and grey out the hours each person doesn't work.
- Prepaid sessions and packs. Sell packs of sessions in advance, online or at the desk. Decide which services a pack covers and when it expires.
- Memberships. Recurring plans that give clients sessions every period, billed to their card automatically, with pauses your staff can grant.
- Take payment at the desk. Check out a visit at the desk, sell a pack, take payment and refund it when you need to.
- Waivers that are actually signed. Clients sign your waiver on their phone right after they book; you see who is covered for the visit, and renewals are requested before they lapse.
- Reminders that go out on their own. Booking confirmations, reminders before the visit and cancellation notices by email and text — plus follow-ups that run themselves: a review request after a visit, a check-in after a cancellation, a waiver reminder before the first session.
- Text clients back and forth. Text a client from their page with your own business number; their replies land in the same place.
- Book from your own website. A booking button for your own site, plus a direct link to any service.
- Your name on it, not ours. Your logo, colours and photo on the booking page and every message clients receive.

Questions we get
Questions from ski simulator & indoor ski businesses.
- Can a booking require both a coach and a machine?
- Yes — that is the case we built first. A lesson holds both; open practice holds only the machine.
- How do setup buffers work?
- Each machine has a buffer after each use. The next booking starts after it, automatically.
- Do you handle seasonal passes?
- Yes: credits every period billed to the member's card, pauses your staff can grant, and packs that expire when you decide. Home Mountain runs on exactly this.
- Can we book school groups and clinics?
- Today a group is booked as a service that holds the machines and coaches it needs. Group classes with per-person spots are on our roadmap.
- Is this only for SkyTechSport simulators?
- No. Any machine, any brand — a machine is a resource with a buffer.
- Who runs a studio on this?
- We do. Home Mountain Ski Club in Los Angeles is our own studio and the first customer; the software is built there.
Writing your rules? Our free cancellation, no-show & reschedule policy generator drafts the policy for your booking page and shows what no-shows cost ski simulator & indoor ski businesses.
