MainLodge for salons and spas
Every chair and room full, with the processing time already in.
Stylists and therapists booked together with their chair or treatment room, service durations that include processing and cleanup, deposits and no-show fees that apply themselves, rebooking at checkout and commission worked out from what each person actually did.
Built inside our own studio. Founding-studio places open for salons & spas.
How it actually runs
What a week looks like in salons & spas.
2
resources per appointment
A colour needs a stylist and a chair; a facial needs a therapist and a room. Both have to be free for the whole time.
45 min
of processing inside a colour
Time when the stylist is free for a cut but the chair isn't. Booking software that can't see that leaves money on the table.
1 in 8
appointments no-show without a deposit
A Saturday no-show on a two-hour service is the worst hour of the week.
Where the week breaks
The problems that show up at the desk, not in a brochure.
-
Processing time is either wasted or over-booked.
Block the whole two hours and the stylist sits idle; don't and the chair is double-booked.
-
Deposits are asked for by text.
The policy exists. Whether a deposit was actually taken depends on who booked it.
-
Rebooking happens at the desk, or not at all.
Six weeks later the client is someone else's. The moment to rebook is at checkout, and it's the moment the desk is busiest.
-
Commission is a monthly argument.
Service revenue, retail, tips and product costs, per person, from a till report and a memory.
What MainLodge does about it
One calendar, one client record, one set of rules — that fit this room.
Real screens from the product, and the parts still in build shown as the designs we're building to. Ask on the demo where anything stands.
Stylist and chair, therapist and room — held together.
Every appointment books the person and the place. The calendar shows both, and neither can be promised twice.
A day with chairs and rooms as the scarce resource.
Services that know their own shape.
A colour is 30 minutes of stylist, 45 of processing, 30 of stylist again. The chair is held throughout; the stylist is free in the middle for a cut.
Services with durations and what they require.
Deposits and no-show fees as rules.
Services that need a deposit take it at booking. A no-show charges the fee you set. It happens the same way for every client.

Commission from what was actually done.
Each person's services, retail and tips from the appointments they delivered. A pay run, not a reconciliation.

Switching
We move your data with you, then run both for a while.
Clients, remaining balances, active memberships and future bookings come across. We cut over on a quiet day, and you keep an export at every step. Anything that isn't built yet, we'll tell you before you sign.
Questions we get
Questions from salons & spas.
- Can a service include processing time when the stylist is free?
- Yes. A service has its own shape — stylist time, processing, stylist time — and the chair stays held while the stylist can take another booking in the gap.
- Can we take deposits?
- Yes, per service. The deposit is taken at booking and applied at checkout; a no-show charges the fee you set. Deposits and no-show fees are rolling out this season.
- Does the calendar handle rooms and chairs separately from people?
- Yes. Each is a resource; an appointment holds the person and the place.
- Can clients rebook at checkout?
- Yes — the next appointment is offered at the same time in six weeks, or whatever you set.
- How is commission calculated?
- From delivered services, retail and tips per person, with rates you set. Export it for payroll.
- Can you move us from Vagaro, Boulevard or Square?
- We move clients, series balances, memberships and future appointments with you and run in parallel until you're ready.
