MainLodge for fitness studios and boutique gyms
Full classes, clean memberships, a staff schedule that holds.
Memberships billed to the member's card with pauses your staff can grant, class packs, online booking, waivers and reminders by email and text — and a full class timetable with spots and waitlists on the way.
Built inside our own studio. Founding-studio places open for fitness studios & boutique gyms.
How it actually runs
What a week looks like in fitness studios & boutique gyms.
16
spots in a class
Capacity is the product. A full class at 6 am and an empty one at 10 am are the same room, priced very differently.
5–8%
monthly churn in boutique fitness
Members leave quietly. The ones who stop coming in week three are the ones you find out about in month two.
2
modalities under one roof
Strength and mobility, HIIT and yoga, classes and open gym — one timetable, two kinds of coach, one membership.
Where the week breaks
The problems that show up at the desk, not in a brochure.
-
The timetable and the membership don't talk.
A frozen member books a class; a lapsed card holder checks in; the coach finds out at the door.
-
Failed payments are chased by hand.
Cards expire in bulk after a bank reissue. Someone spends a morning on emails.
-
Sub coverage is a group chat.
"Anyone free Wednesday 5:30?" — and payroll has no record of who said yes.
-
You can't see who's drifting.
Attendance lives in the check-in app, memberships in billing. Nobody joins them until a cancellation email arrives.
What MainLodge does about it
One calendar, one client record, one set of rules — that fit this room.
Real screens from the product. Anything marked “On the roadmap” isn’t shipped yet — it’s shown as the design we’re building to.
A timetable with real capacity and a waitlist. On the roadmap
Each class has a cap, a room and a coach. When someone cancels inside the window the next person is offered the spot.
The week's classes and appointments in one view.
Memberships that run themselves.
Members buy online and are billed each period to their card. Staff can pause a membership, and a failed payment emails the member a link to update their card — no morning lost to chasing.

Coaches see their week; subs are recorded. On the roadmap
Every coach has a schedule and a role. A sub request goes to the people who can teach that class, and whoever covers is the one who gets paid for it.

Retention you can act on. On the roadmap
Members whose attendance dropped this month, sorted by how long they've been with you. A list to call on Monday, not a report to admire.

What a studio can use on day one.
Shipped and running at Home Mountain, our own studio in Los Angeles.
- Clients book themselves. They pick a service, a person or 'anyone', a time, and leave their details — from any phone, no account needed.
- Day and week calendar. Every appointment on one calendar, a column per instructor, and a week view for any one person. Drag an appointment to move it.
- Rooms, bays and equipment. Tell MainLodge what a session physically needs — a reformer, a simulator, a room — and it books whichever one is free.
- Set-up time and working hours. Add clean-up or set-up time around a service, and grey out the hours each person doesn't work.
- Prepaid sessions and packs. Sell packs of sessions in advance, online or at the desk. Decide which services a pack covers and when it expires.
- Memberships. Recurring plans that give clients sessions every period, billed to their card automatically, with pauses your staff can grant.
- Take payment at the desk. Check out a visit at the desk, sell a pack, take payment and refund it when you need to.
- Waivers that are actually signed. Clients sign your waiver on their phone right after they book; you see who is covered for the visit, and renewals are requested before they lapse.
- Reminders that go out on their own. Booking confirmations, reminders before the visit and cancellation notices by email and text — plus follow-ups that run themselves: a review request after a visit, a check-in after a cancellation, a waiver reminder before the first session.
- Text clients back and forth. Text a client from their page with your own business number; their replies land in the same place.
- Book from your own website. A booking button for your own site, plus a direct link to any service.
- Your name on it, not ours. Your logo, colours and photo on the booking page and every message clients receive.

Switching
We move your data with you, then run both for a while.
Clients, remaining balances, active memberships and future bookings come across. We cut over on a quiet day, and you keep an export at every step. Anything that isn't built yet, we'll tell you before you sign.
Questions we get
Questions from fitness studios & boutique gyms.
- Can members book themselves?
- Yes — from their phone, no account needed, using a pack or membership or paying online. Group-class timetables with spot counts and door check-in are on our roadmap.
- What happens when a card payment fails?
- The member gets an email with a link to update their card, and you choose how many days to wait before the membership is cancelled.
- Can we run open gym alongside classes?
- Yes. Open gym is a service with its own capacity on the floor; classes are on the rooms. Both are on the same calendar and the same membership.
- Can a coach request a sub?
- Not yet — sub requests are on our roadmap. Today you reassign the session on the calendar and the coach is notified by email.
- Do you support multiple locations?
- The system is built per location, and adding a second location is on our roadmap. If you run more than one site, tell us on the demo.
- Can you move us from our current platform?
- We move members, active memberships, class packs and future bookings, run both systems side by side for a period, and switch on a quiet day.
Writing your rules? Our free cancellation, no-show & reschedule policy generator drafts the policy for your booking page and shows what no-shows cost fitness studios & boutique gyms.
