MainLodge for Pilates studios
Every reformer booked. Every private priced right.
Group classes capped at the number of reformers you actually own, privates and duets on the same calendar as the class schedule, packs that count down and memberships that renew — with the instructor's pay worked out per class type.
Built inside our own studio. Founding-studio places open for pilates studios.
How it actually runs
What a week looks like in pilates studios.
8
reformers = class cap
The room decides how many can book. Eight machines means eight spots, not a number someone typed into a form once.
3
ways to sell the same hour
A group class, a duet and a private can all happen at 6 pm — on different machines, at different prices, taught by different people.
40%
of revenue from packs and memberships
Most clients are on a 10-pack or an unlimited plan. What they still owe you, and what you still owe them, has to be visible at the desk.
Where the week breaks
The problems that show up at the desk, not in a brochure.
-
The class cap doesn't match the room.
One over-booking on a full reformer class is a refund, an apology and a client who tries the studio down the street.
-
Privates live in a different tool than classes.
Group classes in one app, privates in a shared calendar, duets by text. Nobody can see the whole 6 pm hour.
-
Packs expire on a spreadsheet.
A 10-pack sold in March is remembered by the person who sold it. When they leave, so does the balance.
-
Sub coverage is a group chat.
An instructor is sick at 7 am; three texts later someone is covering — and payroll has no idea who taught what.
What MainLodge does about it
One calendar, one client record, one set of rules — that fit this room.
Real screens from the product, and the parts still in build shown as the designs we're building to. Ask on the demo where anything stands.
Class caps are the reformer count.
Every class is held on the room, and the room knows how many machines it has. A class can't take a ninth booking on eight reformers, and a client picks a spot they can see.
A day on the calendar — rooms and machines as the scarce resource.
Privates, duets and classes on one calendar.
A 6 pm private on reformer 3 and a 6 pm group class on the other seven sit in the same view, so a coach, a machine and a room are never promised twice.
The week view — appointments and classes side by side.
Packs and memberships that keep their own books.
A 10-pack counts down as classes are attended; an unlimited plan renews on its date, pauses when you allow it and knows its minimum term. The desk sees the balance before it says yes.

Instructor pay by class type.
A group class, a private and a duet pay differently, and a sub gets paid for the class they actually taught. The pay run comes from the calendar, not from memory.
- Private sessions 18 × $30$540.00
- Strength Class 4 × ($50 + $8/head)$392.00
- ClassPass sessions 3 × $25$75.00
- Paid staff time 2.5 h × $22$55.00
- Google review bonus$10.00
- Package commission 5% of $70$3.50
Rates are frozen on each earning — changing a rate never rewrites a paid month.

A worked example
Example: a 9-reformer studio with 6 instructors
This is what the setup looks like for a studio like this. We build it with you before the demo so you're looking at your week.
| Rooms and machines | Studio A · 9 reformers, 2 towers |
|---|---|
| Services | Group reformer (cap 9), Duet (2 reformers), Private (1 reformer), Intro private |
| Instructors | 6, each with the class types they teach and a pay rate per type |
| Ways to pay | Drop-in, 5- and 10-packs, unlimited monthly with a 3-month minimum |
| Rules | 12-hour cancellation, waitlist auto-fill, 15 minutes between privates |
Switching
We move your data with you, then run both for a while.
Clients, remaining balances, active memberships and future bookings come across. We cut over on a quiet day, and you keep an export at every step. Anything that isn't built yet, we'll tell you before you sign.
Questions we get
Questions from pilates studios.
- Can class capacity follow the number of reformers?
- Yes. A class is held on a room, and the room has its machines. The cap comes from the equipment, so you can't oversell a full class, and clients see which spots are left.
- Can clients book a private and a group class in the same app?
- Yes. Privates, duets, semi-privates and classes are all services on the same calendar, each with its own price, duration and instructor list.
- How do packs and memberships work?
- Packs count down per attended class and can expire; memberships renew on a cycle with a minimum term and a pause your staff can grant. Both are visible on the client's record and at check-in. Memberships are rolling out this season — ask on the demo where they stand.
- Can a substitute instructor be paid for a class they covered?
- Yes. Pay is built from the sessions each person actually taught, so a sub is paid for the sub, and the regular instructor isn't.
- Can you move us from Mindbody, Momence or Mariana Tek?
- We move clients, remaining pack balances, active memberships and future bookings with you, run in parallel for a while, and cut over on a quiet day. Ask about it on the demo.
- Is there a waitlist?
- Yes. When a spot opens the next person is offered it automatically, inside your cancellation rules.
